PC gamers can finally explore a highly requested location. A new Hogwarts Legacy mod officially adds the Chamber of Secrets to the game.
As players eagerly wait for Hogwarts Legacy 2, they can, meanwhile, dive back into the original 2023 blockbuster. The base game already offers a massive open world and unique scenes tied to different Hogwarts Houses. Therefore, it holds immense replay value. However, veterans who have already seen everything now have a brand-new area to discover.
Specifically, you can download this new add-on via Curseforge. A team of creators, including maxshig_dev, KBNGaming 2, theTarya, and Dyserina, developed the mod. Consequently, it completely reimagines the iconic Chamber for the video game.
How to Enter the Chamber
Before you download the mod, you must meet a few requirements. Firstly, the creators recommend using a high-level character. Secondly, you must complete the “In the Shadow of the Study” quest beforehand.
Finding the entrance is straightforward. Just head to the Lower Grand Staircase. Next, walk toward the Slytherin common room entrance. Finally, take a right to locate the girls’ bathroom.
Interestingly, you can actually visit this specific bathroom in the base game. However, you will not find much there. Because Hogwarts Legacy takes place decades before anyone opened the Chamber of Secrets, the basilisk remains asleep. Additionally, Moaning Myrtle did not exist in the time period the game takes place, so there is no ghost in the bathroom to talk to.
What About Hogwarts Legacy 2?
Naturally, this mod arrives just as rumors surrounding the sequel begin to heat up. A WBD executive previously confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy 2 is currently in development. Beyond that confirmation, official details remain scarce.
Nevertheless, exciting rumors are circulating. Sources suggest the sequel will take place during Harry Potter’s actual time at Hogwarts. Furthermore, this timeline aligns perfectly with the upcoming Harry Potter TV series premiering this December. If these rumors prove true, developers could easily include Easter eggs like a Moaning Myrtle cameo.
Finally, other rumors hint at a potential online multiplayer component. For now, Harry Potter fans must wait for more concrete information.
