Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 fans believe the current marketing strategy feels lackluster. However, that quiet period could end very soon. Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick previously stated that GTA 6 marketing would kick off in the summer. So far, the only summer updates include the game’s price, standard and ultimate editions, and live pre-orders. Naturally, fans want to see more. Currently, Rockstar has provided only two trailers, a handful of screenshots, and some fuel to the rumors surrounding GTA 6 Trailer 3. Despite this limited content, pre-order numbers are likely soaring.
Is GTA 6 Trailer 3 a Gameplay Reveal?
A well-known leaker, Millie A, recently commented on the upcoming GTA 6 marketing strategy. According to the leaker, fans will receive an “in-depth gameplay video detailing the world and mechanics” this August. This timeline perfectly aligns with an upcoming corporate event.

Take-Two will hold its financial earnings report on August 7. Interestingly, this report will take place in the morning before markets open. Usually, the company schedules these calls after markets close. Consequently, this unusual timing fuels speculation that Rockstar Games will reveal something massive right before the meeting.
Currently, GTA 6 Trailer 3 makes the most logical sense for this reveal. Based on the leaks, this next trailer will focus heavily on gameplay. Historically, Rockstar does not operate this way. They usually separate story updates from mechanical deep dives. Nevertheless, Rockstar could easily drop a story-focused Trailer 3 alongside a dedicated gameplay video later in the month.
On Track for a November Release
Meanwhile, the game still targets a firm November 19 release date. Fortunately, development seems completely on track. Prominent industry insiders, including Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier and NateTheHate, suggest that Rockstar will successfully meet this deadline.
Right now, a proper gameplay showcase remains the biggest question on everyone’s mind. The brand-new characters and the highly anticipated return to Vice City look exciting. Ultimately, though, the moment-to-moment action will solidify this title as a legendary release. Showing that gameplay correctly is crucial for the studio.
The Biggest Launch in History
In the gaming industry, any project can flop. However, failure seems highly unlikely for Grand Theft Auto 6. In fact, analysts predict that the game will generate billions of dollars in its very first week. Consequently, GTA 6 will easily become the biggest video game launch in history.
For now, fans must keep their expectations in check. Rockstar holds all the cards. Until the studio officially shows its hand this August, players will just have to sit tight and await the next massive update.
