Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to introduce a centralized Land Record Management Information System to modernize property-related revenue matters across the province.
The initiative aims to eliminate public complaints regarding revenue issues, including property transfers, while improving service delivery and ensuring transparency.
According to the Revenue Department, the new web-based system will computerize all property-related matters. Citizens will be able to access faster and modern facilities through sixty-four service delivery centers established across the province.
Under the project, public access to land records will be made significantly easier. Residents will be able to obtain services such as Fard, Fard-e-Badar, mutation and other revenue-related facilities online, without visiting government offices in person.
Officials stated that the project is designed to improve service delivery, curb corruption, promote transparency and ensure effective use of modern technology. The provincial government has set a target of bringing all Revenue Department services online within one year.
Work on the project will begin once funds are released by the Finance Department. Officials added that the new system will also enable timely updates, monitoring and maintenance of land records, ensuring the provision of efficient and transparent services to the public.
