Snapdragon

Qualcomm has no plans of making the Snapdragon 836 chipset. The chipset was previously leaked and it was said that the upcoming Google Pixel XL 2 will feature the chipset giving it a boost over the current Snapdragon 835 chipset. The same thing happened last year when the Google Pixel devices came with the Snapdragon 821 chipset, unlike all other flagships which came with the Snapdragon 820.

But according to a new report, Qualcomm never had nor has any plans to make the Snapdragon 836 chipset this year. If the report is true, it means that the new Pixel devices will also come with a Snapdragon 835 just like the most of the flagship devices this year.

Both the new Pixel devices are rumored to come in October. According to another leak, the smaller version of the new Pixel devices will have a Snapdragon 835 chipset and considering both the Pixel devices (Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL) from last year had the same processor, the larger device might also get the Snapdragon 835 which, once again, denies the previous leak of it to come with the Snapdragon 836.

We will have to wait and see to know exactly which chipset the new Pixel devices will feature.

In other reports, the new Pixel devices will come without a headphone jack and will feature bezel less displays just like the Galaxy S8.
