Tech behemoth Samsung is all set to release its new flagship Galaxy Note 8 on 23rd August at an event in New York City. Samsung has even sent out invitations to media organizations, which features a bezel-less display outline with a slogan “Do bigger things” and an S pen image. Rumors and speculations regarding the price, specifications, and design of this new flagship have given us an idea of how this Samsung device will turn out.

It is to be noted here that this upcoming event will be important for Samsung as its previous Note series flagship Note 7 was undermined and harshly criticized by users due to its battery combustion fiasco.

Design and Display:

The most rumored aspect of Galaxy Note 8 is its bezel-less “Infinity” display, which makes the phone look cooler than its siblings. Samsung has also reportedly installed a dedicated button in the smartphone for accessing the built-in personal assistant “Bixby”. The phone is expected to feature a larger screen than its predecessor – almost 0.6 inches large. The company, according to previous leaks, has built the phone water-resistant with a pressure-sensitive screen.

Moreover, images of Note 8 have been leaked online, showing the design of Samsung’s upcoming flagship. As rumored previously the leaked images show that Galaxy Note 8 will be a squared shape smartphone, which makes it different from the Samsung Galaxy S8. Furthermore, the leaked images also show that it will feature a fingerprint sensor placed just beside the camera. Additionally, it will ship with an S Pen.

Camera:

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will come with dual 12 MP, f/1.7 & f/2.4 camera. If the leaked images proved to be correct, then it means Note 8 will be the first Samsung flagship to house dual rear cameras and will capable of recording 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps, 720p@240fps videos.

Processor and battery capacity:

Just recently, in an official tweet from company’s official Twitter handle for Exynos, it was revealed that Samsung Galaxy Note 8 might come with Exynos 8895 chipset, which powers both Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. It is also rumored that the phone will ship with iris scanner and run on Android Nougat. However, will be updated to Android O. The phone will pack a 3,300 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 might also come in four different colors – Midnight Black, Maple Gold, Orchid Grey, and Deep Sea Blue.

RAM and internal storage:

Lastly, it is expected that the phone might house a 6 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage capacity, which can be expanded up to 256 GB via microSD card. Note 8 has the highest AnTuTu score, even higher than the iPhone 7.
