Shop Heroes turns 3 with millions of players, crossing PKR 1.5 Billion in revenue

Shop Heroes, the critically acclaimed game from Cloudcade, is celebrating its three year anniversary. Since its inception in 2015, the game has reached over five million players across iOS, Android, Steam and Web.

Cloudcade is a San Francisco based mobile game developer and publisher, that recently invested PKR 800 million (USD 6.5 million) to launch Cloudcade Pakistan. Cloudcade has continued to support Shop Heroes and develop new content, including a PvP Feature, Enchanting Feature, and frequent themed packages. Cloudcade Pakistan has been part of the core team driving this effort. Currently, live ops for the game are run from Pakistan.

Shop Heroes has been featured by Apple and Google multiple items and has been included in the Apple’s Best New Games – Top 3 Feature and Google’s #1 Global Feature on Google Play ‘Best New Game’. It also won the Canadian Video Game Association Award for Best New Game of the Year in 2015 and GamesBeat Indie Game Competition Top Prize.

The game has expanded from its initial North American and European footprint to include Brazil, Turkey, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Macau, Hong Kong, China, and Southeast Asia. When Cloudcade launched the game in China in late 2017, Shop Heroes reached the top Paid Game position on Apple’s App Store for China and the game’s success in China has its revenue rivaling that of game’s revenue in the rest of the world combined. CloudMade has secured a partnership with publishing giant Kingsoft to continue to expand Shop Heroes’ presence in China.

To celebrate the success of Shop Heroes, Cloudcade is gifting players with various rare items. More new content is on the way to delight players before 2018 comes to a close.
