Microsoft Unveils Four New Xbox Game Pass Titles For Late 2025

Microsoft has officially revealed four new games coming to Xbox Game Pass in late 2025. The announcement was made during the ID@Xbox Showcase, an event dedicated to highlighting upcoming indie games for Xbox. This latest reveal adds to an already exciting year for Game Pass subscribers, with numerous titles lined up for release.

Four New Day-One Releases

The following games will be available on Xbox Game Pass as day-one releases later in 2025:

  • Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault: A sequel to the popular action RPG Moonlighter, where players take on the role of a shopkeeper who embarks on dungeon-crawling adventures.
  • Tanuki Pon’s Summer: A cozy simulation game featuring a lazy Tanuki working part-time at a post office, delivering packages and making friends.
  • Buckshot Roulette: A dark indie game offering a tense and suspenseful Russian roulette experience with a 12-gauge shotgun. Already popular on Steam, the game brings a unique twist to psychological horror gameplay.
  • Echo Weaver: A Metroidvania-style game set in a glitching time loop, where players explore a ruined society while uncovering hidden secrets.

More Indie Titles Arriving Before Late 2025

Before these four titles launch, Xbox Game Pass will introduce several other indie games to its growing catalog. Some of the upcoming releases include:

  • 33 Immortals: Launching on March 18, 2025.
  • Descenders Next, Blue Prince, and Tempopo: Expected in April 2025.
  • Revenge of the Savage Planet: A third-person shooter slated for release on May 8, 2025.

Balatro Shadow-Dropped on Xbox Game Pass

A major surprise from the ID@Xbox Showcase was the unexpected shadow drop of Balatro, a highly popular deckbuilding game. Players who purchased millions of copies in 2024 and won The Game Awards nominations for Game of the Year have now effectively merged into the Game Pass service, allowing subscribers to access this new choice.

The upcoming year of 2025 has begun to take shape as an incredible gaming season for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.  In addition to Obsidian Entertainment’s previously stated release date in 2025, Microsoft has already added third-party releases such as Eternal Strands and Citizen Sleeper 2.  The upcoming Doom: The Dark Ages, together with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, South of Midnight, and Atomfall, will be accessible to Game Pass subscribers in late 2025.

The Game Pass lineup continues to expand, bringing a mix of indie gems and blockbuster releases to players. With more announcements likely on the horizon, Xbox Game Pass subscribers have plenty to look forward to in the coming months.
