Top 10 bezel-less design smartphones of 2018

The world of smartphones is evolving every year with new technologies, such as new cameras, new designs, water-proofing or even dual-displays in a smartphone. The start of 2018 was different, this year the new innovation is bezel-less designs of the upcoming smartphones. Bezels are basically a frame around your device’s display such as your smartphone. The TV and computer monitor industry has been innovating by decreasing the bezels around the screens for a long time now to offer bezel-less designs, but now the same innovation has been picked up by the smartphone manufacturers in a quest to offer the least bezels in a smartphone. TechJuice has compiled a list of best smartphones of 2018 offering the least bezels. Here is the list:

1. Essential PH-1

Essential, a company founded by Android’s co-founder Andy Rubin, the Essential PH-1 is the only smartphone released by the company, and it was launched in 2017 with a complete bezel-less display.

2. Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus

  • Screen-to-body ratio: 84.2 percent
  • Screen size: 6.2 inches
  • Price: $940

Samsung released 2018 S-series flagships, Galaxy S9 and S9+ last month at MWC. Both the phones are beautiful in terms of design and display, all thanks to all glass body design on front and back as well. But S9+ stands out between the siblings with the more bezel-less display.

3. Xiaomi Mi Mix

  • Price: $499

Xiaomi Mi Mix at the first glance, what stands out from Xiaomi Mi Mix is its screen, which occupies the entire front of the phone, it was released in 2016 but still stands out as the most bezel-less phone of Xiaomi.

4.Samsung Galaxy Note 8

According to industry data analysts, the 64GB version of Note 8 is the most sold smartphone of South Korea until the 2nd week of October.

The LG V30 is the latest phablet of LG which features an edge-to-edge “FullVision” display which targeted to be in direct competition with the newly released Note 8.

8. Huawei Mate 10 Pro

  • Screen size: 6.0 inches
  • Price: $730

Huawei Mate 10 Pro was launched last year in 2017, Huawei Mate 10 Series came with a near edge to edge displays and some impressive specs.

9. One Plus 5T

10. HTC U11 Plus

  • Price: $730

HTC U11+ is the lastest phone by the company, it has officially launched last year in 2017 and entered the bezel-less display race with its new phone.The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and which gave the mobile excellent viewing angles.

Now seeing the list one could easily say, bezel-less is the future. All the mid-rangers coming in the mobile industry also have the same concept of bezel-less design. In fact, the most criticized iPhone X notch has also been an innovative design which almost the whole mobile industry is now following.
